THE QUESTION

THE ANSWER

It was not very difficult to find that the provenance  of your nice statuette is from the Ijebu tribe.

It was instead a little more difficult to define the exact location of the workshop of the carver. Normally I need more three photos to do it.

In any case I believe your Ibeji is from Ijebu Ode.

The key elements to define the location of origin are the necklaces around the wrists, the necklace around the neck, the big oval eyes missing the lower edge, the particular shape of the ears, the missing hair over the ears, the round chin pointing down, and the particular shape of the lips.

Certainly it is a rare type and a similar one is shown on the plate n. 256 of the Encyclopedia of the Ibeji.
