THE QUESTION
THE ANSWER

With the exception of a few missing small parts and breakages, it looks like a nice pair of Ibeji, male and female, carved very well.
The patina still has a few traces of camwood of a light brown color. The reparation to the base of the female is interesting and from the photos it looks like to be tribal.
Very particular is the hairstyle, different in the lower part, but identical in the upper one.
The hairstyle, with the triangle in the upper part, leads to the identification of the place of origin of this pair.
These Ibeji are from Ilorin (Oyo) and are identified on the file n. 766 of the Catalogue of the Ibeji and on the plate n. 485 of the Encyclopedia of the Ibeji.
