An old and very rare male and female Ibeji pair from Otta.
Located in the Awori tribe territory, Ibeji from Otta are seldom seen in Ibeji collections and at pubblic auctions. The carver of these statuettes is the great master Labintan. These Ibeji have a interesting and well preserved natural patina and the face presents the typical characteristics of the Otta Ibeji. The hand are away from the body of the Ibeji. This pair is a great rarity well suited to be included in a very advanced African Art collection.
