Pair Male Female Oshogbo
A very charming pair from Oshogbo, in the Oyo tribe territory
This wonderful pair is characterized by enchanting colors of both Ibeji, due to the ample coverage of reddish camwood patina on the entire bodies and to the light color of the both faces, created by continuous loving washings by the mother. The coiffures present a blue Reckitt coloration creating a pleasant contrast with the body and the face. One of the Ibeji wears an old necklace with a non-common medal. The carving characteristics are typical of the Ibeji from Oshogbo, in particular round eyes with lashes carved all around.
To be also noticed that this pair is published in the Encyclopedia of the Ibeji in the photo n. 387.
