An interesting and ancient pair of Ibeji from a workshop in Ila Orangun, village situated in Igbomina tribe wide territory. Both Ibeji have an extensive coverage of yellow reddish camwood patina and tribal necklaces around the neck and waist. The hairstyles are covered with blue indigo powder. The faces have a lighter color than the rest of the body, from the “maternal” caresses. This tall and elegant pair was carved by the same sculptor of the pair shown in the photo 533 of the Encyclopedia of the Ibeji.                     Mauro Polo
