Pair of Females Oshogbo
From Fausto Polo, 2013
A very interesting pair of female Ibeji from Oshogbo, a village located in the south-eastern part of the large Yoruba territory, occupied by the Oyo tribe.
This pair is an uncommon type, both Ibeji have eyes circled with eyelashes carved all around.
Interesting to be noticed are also the small and protruding ears, located towards the back of the head.
Both have a red and magnificent camwood patina, which contrasts with the glossy black of the old original natural patina.
