  • A nice pair of males from Ilogbo, in the Egbado tribe territory

    This is an old pair of males Ibeji from Ilogbo. Different carvers had a workshop in Ilogbo. While each carver gave to the Ibeji its own style, all of them had some common characteristics: the four fingers of the hands are very long with short thumbs. The eyes are bordered all around. This pir is a nice example of the Ilogbo Ibeji, with scarification marks radiating from the navel to the hips.
