  • A fine Ibeji from  Eruwa, in the Ibarapa tribe territory

    This fine female  Ibeji was carved in an unknown workshop located in the village of Eruwa, in the territory of the Ibarapa tribe. Main characteristics of the Eruwa Ibeji are the rounded base, grooved along the side of the lower and upper edges. Eyes are elliptical, bordered all around, with upper lids bulging. Forehead is high, broad and rounded. This Ibeji is still covered with ample traces of red camwood patina on the body.
