Single Male Ilorin

  • A fine Ibeji from Ilorin, in the Oyo tribe territory


    This is a very nice male Ibeji with the typical characteristics of a unknown carver located in Ilorin. He wears a carved necklace around the neck, which has engraved both on the front and on the back the characteristic Islamic triangle, named “tirah”. The face is much lighter due to the loving caresses of the mother and the hairstyle is painted with a dark indigo stain. The base has the typical incision from this carver and a cowrie shells ornament is attached to the left wrist.
