Superb male from Ilorin
An outstanding Ibeji from Ilorin, in the Oyo tribe territory. This old Ibeji was well carved and has a nice patina on the entire body. The hairstyle was stained with blue indigo paint, which covers part of the face as well. Several ornaments and two long strings of cowries attached to the wrists witness it was ordered by a wealthy family. It comes with a custom base made of bronze and wood.
