  • A fine Ibeji from Iseyin, the the Oyo tribe territory

    This male Ibeji was carved in the workshop of the Falade family, which operated in the Iseyin village in the first half of the 1900. This Ibeji wears a nice necklace and the hairstyle is covered by an actractive blue Reckitt stain. The round base is thin and has a bevel of 45 dgreesalong the upper edge. The ears have a distinctive shape of the Falade family carvers. This Ibeji wears an old beaded necklace around the neck. Some traces of red camwood patina are still present on the body.
