Single Male Omu Aran
Original text by Fausto Polo, 2013, translated to English from Italian
A beautiful and antique male Ibeji with the origin in Omu Aran, in the Igbomina tribe territory.
This Ibeji has a beautiful red camwood patina, well distributed over the entire body, and a light blue-colored hairstyle, which was stained by applying natural powdered indigo. The feet are separated and wear sandals. Unfortunately the name of the carver is not known, but his style is, and he is the same hand who carved the Ibeji published in photo 564 of the "Encyclopedia of the Ibeji".
